Server rack installation

At bigger solar, wind and battery locations, the network and control devices are often installed in a server rack. It is recommended to install the Teleport in the server-rack at these locations as well. The Teleport needs at least 3U (5.25 inches) to fit.

Teleport for BESS

For battery energy storage systems (BESS), we provide a package solution. The package is sent fully assembled; it only needs to be placed in the server rack, connected to a power source and connected to the asset(s).

The package typically includes:

  • Teleport
  • Second (redundant) Teleport
  • AC power adapters, one for each Teleport
  • U/UTP cat 5e network cable

If requested, the Teleport for BESS can be ordered with aditional components, such as an ethernet switch.

For sites that require automatic failover between the two Teleports, this package is also available as a fully integrated redundant rack-mount unit that combines two Teleports, two DC power supplies and a failover relay in a single 19” chassis.

DIN-rail mounting

On request, a side DIN-rail mounting kit can be provided for Teleport installations in 19” server-racks.

If a 230V AC power source is present, the Teleport can be installed according to the regular instructions. The Teleport can also be shipped with a DC power connector, in case a 24V DC UPS supply is used.
